The course will help practitioners understand how they can provide first aid to babies and children within a childcare setting. It covers not only the minor incidents but also the life saving techniques required in a potentially fatal emergency. The cover is made up of one online unit and a face to face course. Both must be completed to achieve the full qualification.

Modules 1- 8 are assessed during the face to face part of the course.

There is no previous experience required for this course, but learners must be over the age of 16.

You must have a good understanding of basic English and basic IT skills to navigate the online module.

The course will be assessed by Case studies, questions at the end of the online module in order to assess your knowledge and understanding. 

This course will qualify you in Early Years Foundation valid for 2 years
